Utah's Democratic Party has a unique opportunity to unite and make positive change. Elect Bob as State Party Secretary and help to make that opportunity a reality.
Utah's Democratic Party is a party of the people. It is the party of inclusion. We welcome all, we respect all, and we represent all of Utah equally. We are not only willing, but able, to reach out and unify the voice of the people on the important issues of today.
Bob Henline is a life-long resident of Utah, a family man, volunteer, activist, author, and columnist. He has been involved in Utah politics since the 1980's, always working to make our communities, our state, and our world a better place.
Bob is a graduate of Bingham High School and earned undergraduate degrees in History, Philosophy, and Political Science from Boston University. He also holds a Master's in Public Administration from Georgetown University.
Bob currently works in the volunteer management industry, working with a wide variety of clients to help improve their volunteer programs. He is also a columnist for Q Salt Lake Magazine and is one of the founding directors of Utah Volunteers, a non-profit foundation that helps to bridge the gap between organizations and volunteers in Utah.
Bob published his first book, Constitutional Inequality, in 2008. The book examines the history of the US Electoral College and explains why is is outdated and creates an inherent inequality in US electoral politics.
First and foremost, the Utah Democratic Party must be the party of inclusion and equality.
2008 was a good year for Democrats. There was energy, there was excitement, there was passion. Over the past few years there have been some electoral disappointments and that energy is waning.
We need to unify Utah's Democrats and regain that 2008 energy. We need to raise money and help propel progressive candidates into elected office, both in Utah and federally. Utah's Democrats have been strong historically, and when we can all come together and work together there is nothing we can't accomplish.
Are you ready to help unify that voice? I am.
